Blog Assignment 3

Blogger:
When making this blog I found it pretty easy because I made a blog on blogger before, along with the instructions were pretty straightforward. Though it gets a bit confusing when designing my blog because there is so much to choose from. It didn't have any instructions for me to go through (video). You can set your blog on private along with setting it where it z on the blogger's listing and you can turn off the search engine. For comments you can choose who can comment (Everyone, Google Accounts, Registered user, and Only members of blog). You can also choose if you want to moderate the comments. My comments are currently on moderation, which means the comment goes through me before it gets published on to the site. This is my favorite blog to use because I like how everything is set up very clean and organize; along with it is really straight forward.

WordPress:
Wordpress has straightforward instructions to make the blog, except it gets a bit complicated after you get the structure of the blog. So where you design the blog and make it pretty, mainly because there are too many options.  You can’t control who sees your blog and you can remove it from the search engine. You have an option where you must have someone who has an account can comment. Whenever someone comments you can have the notification send to you. I don’t like Wordpress because I find it really complex when it comes to designing the blog.

Edublog:
Edublog is very similar to Wordpress; the instructions were pretty straightforward. The layout when it comes to designing is really similar to Wordpress. Though you can also lock your blog and out a custom password so you can give certain access to certain people. You can control who sees your blog from blocking search engines, registered user, to everyone. It was pretty basic and simple when creating the structure, like creating a theme, you had a few to choose from which I don’t like because I like to have a really unique blog. It’s a bit frustrated because there are many tabs and you would have to click on many to get what you want. You can control who comments can get publish because they go through an approval through you.

Out of all the blogs, I would choose Blogger to make my blog because I find it more simple along with I've made a blog on here before. Also, the other two blogs (Edublog, and Wordpress) both have the same layout but a bit complicated for me. I would choose Blogger for a student at this point because I find it a lot easier to use, and less complicated. If I had to tell students to make a blog on Blogger, I would tell them to just pick a theme then later on when you settled everything start adding widgets because you want to have a solid nice base before complicating everything. I found making a blog really simple because I'm very good with technology, following instruction were more of a backup for me than following step by step.
